In its building, the Musikverein Wien, internationally leading orchestras, conductors and soloists perform in six concert halls in about 800 concerts per season. The Golden Hall, with its famous acoustics, is considered one of the best concert halls in the world.

Collaboration concert planning (m/f/d)

Permanent; Full-time / 40 hours per week

Your area of responsibility:

  • Collaboration in the planning and scheduling of the Musikverein’s own events with a focus on concerts in the Great Hall and Brahms Hall (orchestral, ensemble, chamber music and soloist concerts)
  • Independent scheduling and content planning of selected concert series in the Brahms Hall in consultation with the Head of Concert Planning
  • Research activities on artists, repertoire and current developments in the field of classical music
  • Internal and external correspondence, preparation and follow-up of meetings, general administrative tasks, contact and communication with agencies
  • Maintenance of the event software and other planning tools

Your requirements profile:

  • Completed studies or completed vocational training
  • Professional experience in the areas of concert hall, orchestra or festival, ideally in concert planning or artistic operations office
  • Strong interest in concert planning in the classical concert business, good knowledge of orchestras, artists and agencies in the field of classical concerts
  • Confident handling of common MS Office programs, ideally experience with event software
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Independent, structured and efficient way of working, quick comprehension and forward thinking
  • Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours

Employee for building and event engineering (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility:

  • Technical and organizational support for events and rehearsals in the building (experience with sound engineering an advantage)
  • Assembly and dismantling of the operating and equipment items required for the individual events
  • Maintenance and support of various technical systems in the building
  • Maintenance work
  • Transport and storage work

Your requirements profile:

  • Craftsmanship (apprenticeship qualification or affinity for sound engineering an advantage)
  • Commitment and flexibility, willingness to work weekends, public holidays and nights
  • Friendly, confident demeanour and high service orientation and very good communication skills
  • Initiative, ability to work under pressure and independent working style
